Counselling Brentwood

Is life feeling a little heavy and overwhelming, or maybe there are some big things going on and you don’t know where to go or what to do? Finding a space to speak openly with a trained professional can help towards a better understanding of what is going on for you, a space free of judgement and not trying to fix you. The power of talking alleviates the monster in our head, which as I know can drive us to feeling even more anxious and overwhelmed.

I help those going through difficult life circumstances, grief, loss, anxiety, low self-confidence, anger issues, family conflicts and depression. Whatever it is, you are not alone, I know it is hard to reach your hand out for the support you need. I am here to lighten the load, helping you towards a better understanding of who and what you are, taking back control of those thoughts in your mind and leading to a healthier, happier and more fulfilling life.

Our work together will provide an inviting and safe sanctuary for you to explore challenging patterns of behaviour, re-evaluate your values and beliefs working towards a deeper understanding of who you are. Through exploration and commitment, we will delve into your relationships, emotions, behaviours and the experiences that have shaped you into who you are today. Our goal? To equip you with tools and coping skills which will enhance your physical, emotional and mental well-being, moving towards a life filled with more self-knowledge, resilience, confidence and creating a sense of worth and control.

Life’s challenges do not define your future, change is possible with the correct support, ultimately leading to increased self-awareness of your internal world, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. Change is not just possible; it is within reach. Let’s sit and navigate this journey together with trust, warmth and some humour too.

I have worked full time for a number of years with a wide range of clients, I am equipped with a variety of therapeutic approaches, ready to tailor a unique and concise therapeutic plan that aligns to your goals, wants and needs. Our journey together is solely focused on you and is not purely about overcoming life’s obstacles or challenges, it is also taking a dive into you truly understanding your patterns of behaviour and where they began.  We will also look at the environment you live in, understanding, adapting or addressing the things that may need changing.

Our first session

Our first session will be slightly different, I will complete a questionnaire in order for me to understand what you are struggling with, to gain some insight into your world and what has been going on for you.  Also a chance for you to ask any questions about me.

I am offering face to face and online therapy. If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message.

Qualifications and registrations

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I am able to draw on different approaches individually or combined in order to facilitate helpful and structured change for clients.

I have experience and am trained in bereavement, working with those who have lost a loved one to navigate paths they may have never walked upon, helping you to understand the affect it is having on your mind, body and soul.  I have worked with those who have experienced narcissism, domestic violence, social anxiety, health anxiety, low self-esteem and self-worth, body dysmorphia, abandonment and emotional abuse.  This is not an exhaustive list of the areas I can work with.

I believe all individuals matter, regardless of gender, social or ethnic background and origin, we all deserve to be valued, respected and heard.  Family dynamics, expectations and culture play a huge part in our mental wellbeing, leading to low mood, depression and anxiety.  We can also live our existence through those significant care givers and unknowingly take on their values, beliefs, opinions and traits.
