Edwina | Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Psychotherapy and Counselling Braunton
I am a qualified, registered and experienced Counsellor & Psychotherapist with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) & Children and Young People & Families Division (CYPF). I work with adults, children and young people and specialise in trauma. Professional credibility and integrity are essential pre-requisites to my work. To safeguard my service and clients I have monthly clinical supervision.
My approach is based on a belief that we all strive for and have the capacity to fulfil our own potential.
Our life experiences can sometimes negatively impact our personal growth and how we feel about ourselves and our place in this world. I will help with facililitating positive change and outcomes that are personal to you.
One of the most valued aspects of counselling & mental health support is the opportunity to share and open up to someone trustworthy, genuine and trained in this field. It is an opportunity to be able to communicate emotions that perhaps you haven't been able to talk about before and have them understood and validated with empathy in a confidential setting. The decision to take yourself into counselling is always a personal, courageous and respected one. All of my work is guided by the principle of being responsive to your unique needs and providing a bespoke service.
I am not a crisis service but I can support you in creating individual crisis/support plans including contact numbers for crisis & emergency mental health situations.
I offer 1:1 sessions, either zoom, face to face or telephone and I receive referrals from GP's, CAMHS (Child Adolescent Mental Health Service) and self referrals. I offer appointment Monday to Saturday at flexible times to suit you.
Please contact me for more detailed information so you can make an informed decision.
