---
I am a humanistic counsellor who treats every person as an individual with unique experiences. I am friendly and non-judgemental and I offer you a space where you can explore your feelings and concerns at your own pace.
We may all encounter problems at some point in our lives and asking for help can be difficult. I believe talking things over with a trained counsellor can make a real difference. My person centred therapeutic approach means that the work we do will focus on what is important to you.
I strive to build a collaborative, trusting relationship which will allow you to explore your inner thoughts, focus on your personal choices and how how you might like to move forward in your life.
If you are thinking of making that first courageous step into therapy please make contact to see if counselling with me is right for you. You have nothing to lose and potentially much to gain.
I welcome both individuals and couples in my practice.
About me
I qualified as a counsellor in 2000 and I have experience working with a wide range of issues. I work according to the Ethical Framework for Good Practice of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy of which I hold membership.
I have worked as a mental health advocate in an acute psychiatric setting and am currently employed at a private boarding school as the school listener. I also have extensive experience in a wide range of settings including private practice, an addictions agency, a rape and sexual abuse agency, a young person’s agency and in HM Prisons.
