Counselling and Psychotherapy Haggerston - London
My name is James and I'd like to extend a warm welcome.
Relationships play a crucial role in our lives, especially romantic ones. But do you find yourself repeating the same behavioural patterns? Are you drawn to partners who aren’t right for you or even toxic? Perhaps you experience anxiety in relationships, always worrying, "Why haven’t they called?" Or maybe you feel suffocated by a partner’s neediness, leaving you yearning for space. Or are you someone who finds it difficult to set boundaries, letting your partners take advantage of you? If you feel vulnerable in relationships and struggle with asserting yourself, you're not alone.
When our relationships are dysfunctional, it can lead to low self-esteem, anxiety, stress, and depression, which can also affect those close to us, like friends and family. Toxic relationships can cause a loss of identity and self-worth.
I can help. I specialize in working with attachment and helping clients who experience these kinds of behaviours cultivate healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
Family: While you can choose your friends, you can’t choose your family! This saying rings true for so many. Family dynamics are often complex. Do you find it challenging to connect with a siblings or other family members? Is your family making you unhappy? Many of us struggle with family relationships, but there is often a path forward. By discussing your feelings and emotions surrounding your family, we can work together to help you navigate these feelings.
Change: I once had a vibrant career in music, but in 2010, the industry shifted, and I lost my career. This change plunged me into depression, and I found myself in a very dark place. However, as I trained to become a counselor, I realized that a life crisis can serve as an opportunity for a reset that can bring about positive change. Are you going through something similar? Have you recently had to re-adjust your whole life? Do you find change difficult, perhaps even frightening? Let’s work together to help you navigate change and embrace the unfamiliar.
Online therapy
I conduct online sessions using google meets or whatsapp video chat.I understand that the search for the ideal counsellor can be quite daunting. To make this process more manageable, I offer a free 30-minute on-line session where we can discuss your issues, goals, and counselling needs, allowing us to determine if we are well-suited to work together. This session comes with no obligations and is conducted on google meets or whattsapp video chat.
