Counselling Walton on Thames

Looking for a counsellor and deciding on who to choose can be quite daunting and may feel overwhelming.

I have over 13 years experience running a counselling practice based in Walton on Thames. I provides a safe, supportive and confidential environment in which to explore issues that affect your quality of life. It could be that you have been struggling for some time and have now decided the time is right for you to make changes. You may have come to a cross roads and are not sure which direction to turn to.

I provide 1-1 counselling to individuals aged 18+. I am experienced in working with a number of issues including toxic relationships (particularly narcissism) depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, bereavement and loss (of any kind), lack of confidence, redundancy, relationship issues, divorce and separation, family issues, substance misuse (drug and alcohol) and many more.

I am a fully qualified Integrative Humanistic Counsellor with in excess of 10,000 client hours. I use various therapeutic methods and approaches that will best support you and assist you in working through your issue. I also incorporate elements of CBT within my approach where necessary. My practice is conveniently based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, near the borders of Weybridge, Cobham, Esher, Shepperton, Sunbury-on-Thames and Hersham. I work with individuals on a one-to-one basis, both short and long term depending on your needs.

I have particular experience working with survivors of sexual abuse both past and present and client's experiencing relationship difficulties. I work with complex issues at a deeper level allowing you to explore life events that you may find difficult to address. I have experience with working with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID).

Many clients find that it doesn't take too long before the benefits of counselling begin to ripple through their daily life. Client's tell me that just talking things through helps them to see their situation much clearer and they begin to naturally feel stronger and gain more clarity and understanding in making decisions that are right for them.

Changes can be brought about when we face our fears, identify feelings and ways of thinking, see problems in a different light and become aware of patterns that do not serve us.

I often suggest that clients book an initial getting-to-know-each-other appointment with absolutely no obligation to continue. It is important to me that you feel comfortable before embarking on further sessions. This initial session will last approximately 50 minutes.

After our initial consultation, we can then decide whether or not you wish to continue, the standard procedure is to meet once a week at a time that suits you. Each session lasts 50 minutes and appointments are available most weekdays.

If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message and I will reply as soon as possible.
