CherylAnn | Accredited Individual & Couple Psychotherapist (BACP Accredited Psychotherapist). Qualified Clinical Supervisor
Counselling and Psychotherapy West Hampstead - London
I have a special interest in women's issues of all ages from young women setting out in life, juggling career or family demands, working through past or present romantic relationships and self-esteem issues to women struggling with the menopause, retirement or wondering what a new phase of life might bring. Women's lives constantly change and evolve and we often need help with navigating our way through the unexpected and uncertainties we meet along the way.
Perhaps you are questioning who you are as you struggle with hurtful family issues, relationship breakdowns, past trauma or children leaving home. Are career changes, loneliness, regret or anger creating anxiety, leaving you ruminating and in deep distress and pain? Menopausal changes or living with bereavement and sense of loss can feel powerfully overwhelming.
You may be feeling stuck, wondering how you got here and where to go next? Sometimes we feel empty and directionless as situations evolve around us, imposing unwanted changes. I understand how significant life events can be profoundly challenging, making the future feel frighteningly uncertain.
Developing self-esteem, confidence and finding out 'who you are' is often a pivotal feature of my therapy.
I work with warmth and compassion to understand your inner world using an integrative approach, tailoring the therapy to suit what works best for you and the issues you bring. We might explore how past experiences and ways of coping are impacting on your present concerns but our focus will remain with what you are struggling with today within a safe but gently challenging space provided by me, for you.
I would love to walk with you, supporting you to find choices and meaning where neither seemed possible. We can figure out together how to move into your future with confidence.
If you would like to know more or book an appointment and are available for morning appointments Mondays-Wednesdays, please do send me a message.
