As a fully qualified and BACP registered counsellor my goal is to establish a therapeutic relationship in which you feel heard, understood, and respected. Together, we can collaborate towards creating a life that is more peaceful and meaningful.
My practice in Four Marks, Alton is within easy reach of Winchester, Basingstoke, Petersfield and Farnham. I also offer online sessions for clients who prefer to attend remotely.
Why counselling?
People seek counseling for a variety of reasons, especially in today's fast-paced and demanding world where personal well-being often takes a back seat. Low moods, stress, and anxiety have become increasingly prevalent, affecting individuals at any stage of life. Whether you're grappling with unresolved past experiences that affect your relationships and overall well-being or struggling to adapt to recent life changes, counselling can offer valuable assistance.
I believe everyone possesses the potential for self-awareness, growth and healing. Whether you are seeking short or long-term therapy, I will help you explore your concerns, gain insght into your experiences and cultivate more fulfilling ways of living. My approach involves offering psycho-education, compassionate support, guidance and encouragement to enable you to reach your goals.
About me
I have many years of experience which began by supporting bereaved people for CRUSE (the bereavement charity). After completing my training in humanistic counselling, I spent a number of years as a counsellor at the University of Portsmouth’s Student Wellbeing Service and the Portsmouth Counselling Service. My work with clients at these services cemented my belief that the quality of our relationships determines our overall happiness and well-being. This motivated me to train with Relate in Relationship Counselling and to go on to offer specialist counselling to Couples as well as individuals.
It’s important to find the right counsellor for you so I suggest organising an initial phone conversation (without commitment or charge) so that I can answer any initial questions you may have and we can discuss whether I can help.
For more information about my practice or to make an appointment, please contact me.
