Welcome. Sometimes the hardest step to take when reaching out for help is the first. Whatever the reason that has brought you here today, I am here to help.

Navigating life can be tough, leaving us with a range of feelings, from dissatisfaction to grief, loneliness, anxiety, and depression. If you're feeling stuck in a difficult phase, I'm here to help.

I am a qualified counsellor specialising in bereavement, grief and loss offering online sessions in the comfort of your own home. Sometimes the hardest step to take when reaching out for help is the first.  If you reach out to me today, I offer a complimentary 15 minute consultation to discuss your needs and how I can help you.


Comfort of your own home

Some clients prefer online sessions as they feel more safe, comfortable and able to share within their own home environment. All you need from you end to facilitate this is a secure internet connection and to have the Microsoft Teams app downloaded on your laptop, tablet or mobile phone. Leave the rest to me, I will set up the meeting, and send you a link via email, which you can then click on to make direct connection to the session. 

Please ensure you have a confidential space away from family or others you may share a home with.


Bereavement, grief and loss

My expertise lies in bereavement, grief and loss counselling. We all experience loss at some point in our lives, and coming to terms with it can be challenging. From emotions to physical health, grief impacts every dimension of our existence. If you find yourself struggling to sleep at night, only to wake up feeling the weight of grief throughout your day, you are not alone. Feelings of intense longing for your loved one and preoccupation with intrusive thoughts or images can be overwhelming.

Your days may feel like an endless struggle as your once certain world now feels scary and lonely without your loved one. I've assisted many clients in processing their grief, normalising their emotions, building resilience, and accepting their new reality while cherishing the memory of their loved ones. Grief can be a challenging journey, but remember that seeking support can be a valuable step towards healing.

Grief doesn't just stem from losing loved ones; it can also arise from the breakdown and conflict within relationships, health and lifestyle changes, job loss or the passing of a beloved pet. I've helped clients navigate conflicts, find their voice in relationships, alleviate anxiety and overcome guilt and shame. My goal is to help clients find acceptance of their new world by equipping them with coping mechanisms and exploring pathways to a brighter future. This all leads to a better night’s sleep!

In whatever situation you find yourself, I offer a confidential and non-judgmental safe space for you to express your thoughts, feelings and emotions at your own pace. Building a therapeutic relationship takes time and trust, and I am dedicated to supporting you on your unique journey.

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

In addition, I have extenstive additional training in bereavement, grief and loss.

I am an individual member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

My counselling approach is person-centered which is non-directive method and places the client at the heart of each session. I firmly believe that every client possesses a natural drive to reach their full potential and the wisdom within to achieve it. Within a confidential, non-judgmental, and empathic space, you will be heard and understood. Together, we will work at your own pace to not only explore your past and present but also identify possibilities for a better future.

Aside from my person-centered approach, I also specialise in bereavement counselling. I recommend seeking bereavement support at least six months after a loss. Through psycho-education on grief processes, I can help you understand and "normalise" the emotions you may be experiencing during grief, such as sadness, guilt, hopelessness, anger, relief or that your grief is not valid. In my sessions, I've assisted clients in finding acceptance of their grief and adapting to their new reality while honoring the memories of their loved ones.

For those who need support but find it too early for counselling, I offer early bereavement support. This option is suitable for clients who have experienced a loss within the last six months. During these sessions, we can explore practical solutions to challenges, such as housing or supporting children in their grief. Additionally, I provide reassurance and normalisation of your feelings during this difficult time. Whether you need a one-off session or ongoing support, I am here to assist you.

  • Life transitions and losses - including health, lifestyle, retirement and job loss
  • Loss of or changes within relationships
  • Working on self-esteem to enable change

Fees

Sessions are 50 minutes in duration and cost £50 online (via Microsoft Teams).

I also offer up to 6 online low cost sessions for those experiencing financial difficulty.  These sessions are £35.  No formal financial assessment will be undertaken and your circumstances will be accepted on trust.
