Online Counselling
Struggling with binge eating or bulimia can profoundly affect daily life, and can leave you feeling exhausted and emotionally overwhelmed. If you or a loved one are facing these challenges, it’s not uncommon to feel unsure about where to turn for support. The experience is often filled with intense emotions, and it can feel confusing and isolating.
As a therapist who has personally recovered from disordered eating, I understand how complex this journey can be. Since 2017, I have been dedicated to working with both adults and teenagers as a counsellor, and now provide specialised support for binge eating, bulimia, and the underlying emotional struggles.
My approach is integrative, combining therapeutic and coaching techniques, such as reflective practices, practical tools and mindfulness. These strategies are designed to help you develop other ways to cope and work towards a more peaceful relationship with food and your body.
In our sessions, my aim is to create a non-judgemental space where you feel safe to explore what might be going on beneath the surface. We’ll work collaboratively to understand and address the patterns driving your eating behaviours, allowing you to gradually regain a sense of empowerment and control. For both teenagers and adults, I tailor our sessions to meet your needs, blending discussion, practical strategies, and reflective work to support lasting change.
About Me
My passion for helping others is deeply connected to my own recovery journey from disordered eating. With a background in teaching, I started my counselling journey working in schools and universities alongside running my private practice since 2018. In addition to therapy, I have trained as a clinical supervisor to support other therapists, continually enriching my understanding of mental health and different approaches.I hold an MSc in Psychology, and my research has been showcased at national conferences and referenced in professional publications. My specialist training includes a focus on eating disorders from the National Centre for Eating Disorders. Beyond therapy, I teach yoga and meditation and often incorporate mindfulness into sessions to enhance self-awareness and emotional balance.
Online therapy
Engaging in online therapy offers a flexible and accessible way to receive support, whether you’re in the comfort of your own home or have a busy schedule that makes in-person sessions difficult. I understand that taking the first step can be daunting, but my goal is to make online sessions feel just as safe, warm, and effective as face-to-face meetings.
During our online therapy sessions, you can expect a combination of reflective conversation and practical tools to help address binge eating or bulimia. We may explore mindfulness techniques, breathing practices, and other strategies that are easy to apply to your daily life, all tailored to you or your child’s unique needs. I ensure our work together is collaborative, and we move at a pace that feels right for you, whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your teenager.
If you’re curious about whether online therapy could be helpful, I offer a free 30-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and answer any questions. This introductory call can provide clarity about how our sessions could support you or your loved one on the path to healing and growth.
Feel free to reach out if you’re ready to begin this journey or if you’d like to learn more about how we can work together.
