Hello and welcome to my practice based in Dungannon and in Aughnacloy, Tyrone. My name is Melanie. I work with both adults and children.

Everyone feels a little down from time to time and I believe that’s normal. You are probably here because you are finding that the downs are more than the ups currently or your life is being badly affected by negative thoughts? Maybe you feel anxious all the time or want to get past feelings of dread about the future or outside or something else? If you have lost a loved one or worry incessantly that you might, I can help you.

I am a National Counselling Society Registered Therapist specialising in Person Centred / Humanistic counselling with just a bit of CBT and Creative Therapy thrown in as needed. I help you to make your life better by using Empathy and Connectedness to bring out your inner strength and find a more confident and stronger you able to overcome whatever difficulties you are facing. 

In my practice I specialise in helping people with PTSD as I have completed research in this area. I also have a number of years of experience in one to one counselling of a wide range of issues from Borderline Personality Disorder to Anxiety and Depression, Self Harm to Sexual Abuse and Loneliness to Emotional and Domestic Abuse as well the trials and tribulations of raising a child (now an adult) on the autistic spectrum.
