Counselling and Psychotherapy Farnham
If you are here, you might be wishing to change something in your life that is making you feel unhappy, stuck or despairing. You might be wanting to:
- Work on your relationships – including relationship fractures and endings.
- Improve your sense of self-esteem and self-worth
- Move on from shame based feelings and behaviour
- Work through traumatic life events
- Seek help for feelings that feel overwhelming - such as anxiety and depression
- Work with feelings of loss and grief
- Break patterns of unwanted repeated behaviour
- Explore alternative ways of coping
- Move forward from feeling stuck
A key part of counselling success is finding someone you feel comfortable with, feel safe, and with whom you can easily relate and connect.
Together, we will share the hard work of understanding repeated patterns, making conscious what has been unconscious and start to make changes towards living the life you want for yourself. People often look outside of themselves for answers – but by looking within and becoming aware of our processes, needs and patterns we can begin to change our responses that may have become automatic. There is hope for change and healing. I hold that for you.
I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship/attachment and family challenges, complex post-traumatic stress disorder, PTSD, addictions, self harm, and struggles with emotional management and low self esteem.
My counselling room is located in Runfold, Farnham, GU9 9HR. This is conveniently located on the borders of Farnham and Aldershot and has easy access to surrounding areas such as Fleet, Guildford, and Camberley.
If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message.

Specialisations
I spent a large part of my career in criminal justice. This experience means that alongside my general counselling service, I can offer specialist forensic experience and services.
For many years I worked with service users in the probation setting who had experienced a lot of trauma and life adversity. I was met daily with both the challenges of everyday life as well as the devastating after effects of trauma often manifesting in addiction, uncontrollable emotions, relationship difficulties, self harm and mental health diagnosis. I have training in working with personality disorders.
I facilitated therapeutic group work and this experience has later led me, as a therapist, to counselling in prison. In this setting I have worked with survivors of childhood abuse experiencing CPTSD, PTSD and dissociative symptoms.
Alongside my private practice, I manage a counselling service for women leaving prison who have experienced child loss and separation.
I have specialist training in the prevention of harm by working with people who display sexually harmful behaviour or who have crossed into illegal sexual behaviour. I am a registered StopSO therapist and I take private referrals from a specialist charity working with the families and partners of those who have been affected by 'the knock'.
I have a depth of experience working with compulsive sexual behaviour including pornography use and other out of control sexual behaviours. I am non-judgemental and respect client individuality, and sexual preferences. I offer a gentle but down to earth approach to our work and understand your need for my total confidentiality.
