Hello and thank you for looking at my profile. I am an integrative therapist, allowing me to draw upon different counselling approaches in my therapeutic work.
Individuals can feel held back not just by their personal experiences (which can't be changed) but also by their relationship with themselves. Together, we can explore the challenges you are facing and unlock the potential YOU carry inside for personal growth & healing.
I work with a range of issues- including anxiety, depression and family/relationship difficulties. It can involve helping you to explore an issue in your present which may be causing difficulties or maybe exploring your past to better understand how it may be affecting you now.
My strength as a relational counsellor is in the compassion and empathy I offer- the opportunity to bring all aspects of yourself and your difficulties in a safe and supportive environment. I aim to create a non-judgemental space where you can feel seen, heard and validated. This approach is particularly helpful in exploring past relational trauma with the aim of promoting healing, resilience and the development of healthier ways of relating to oneself and others.
As a counsellor who has worked in different counselling settings, I have had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life. However, I have particular experience working with young people (16-25y/o) in both counselling and social care settings. I am passionate about offering young people a respectful and open-minded space to explore their issues and achieve a greater understanding of who they are and their value in the world.
As a counsellor, I have also had counselling and know what it is like to be 'on the other side'. It can initially feel daunting and exposing. But I have also learnt that, in the right environment, it can be a liberating experience. An opportunity to learn about yourself and thrive, rather than just survive.

Online therapy
Multiple studies have indicated that online therapy can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy for treating anxiety, depression, PTSD and other mental health difficulties.As part of my practice I offer online therapy and I have completed additional training in this area to ensure that I am practising competently. As my client, you are always at the heart of my work and you will receive the same level of care and service online as you would in-person.
I use zoom in my online practice and will send your invitation via email in advance of your session.

I specialise in anxiety management, low self-esteem, depression and trauma. I believe we all deserve to feel comfortable in our own skin and happy with who we are and the choices we make. Our sessions together will be an opportunity to reflect upon your thoughts, feelings and experiences- and how they may be impacting you and affecting your relationship with yourself, others and the life you want to live. You are very much the expert in you - but together we can explore the challenges you may be facing and unlock the resources you already have within you to begin to lead a more fulfilling life.As a relational therapist, I also believe that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is integral to promoting healing and growth. As humans we are fundamentally relational- and our well-being is greatly influenced by the quality of our connection with others. My focus is very much on buidling a strong and trusting relationship through which you can begin to explore past relational traumas and begin to repair old wounds.
I offer both short and long term therapy. Our work can be for as little as 6-12 sessions or can be more open-ended- depending on your circumstances. Either way, I will always seek to work collaboratively with you, checking in throughout to make sure that our work together is meeting your needs. I understand that counselling is a big investment so it's important that you are getting what you need from it.

Fees
My fee is £65 per 50 minute session (face to face) or £50 per 50 minute session (online).I also offer an initial complimentary 20 minute telephone call to understand your needs and explain how I work. This is also a good opportunity for you to see if you feel comfortable talking with me.
