About my services
I run my own private practice. I provide confidential and effective services in Counselling, Integrative Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH), and CBT-based mentoring/coaching; on Skype, Zoom, Duo, WhatsApp and by phone. Online therapy is a very flexible option as you can get services in your own home or in a location where you have access to a computer or mobile phone.
Promptly getting help which can be scheduled around other commitments is important when you go through life challenges. As a therapist, I recognise and take this seriously which is why I am offering online sessions at short notice including late evenings.
Sometimes it may just need a couple of sessions to get you back on track and in other situations, of course, more time may need to be devoted as the best way forward.

About my approaches
I use different psychological approaches and their combinations to ensure the best possible results. For example, REBT -therapy is an effective cognitive behavioural therapy approach that can be used alone or combined with other approaches. I teach relaxation and hypnotherapy techniques to combat stress, helping you to flourish in your life and career.
I also offer short-term therapy and hypnotherapy options for quitting smoking and other issues suitable for a short-term approach.

About my personal background
Besides professional qualifications, I have also my own personal experiences of mental health issues in the past. I had some traumatic experiences in my childhood and have experienced an anxiety disorder and depression. This has helped me better understand clients’ experiences. I have been given much positive feedback on this from my clients. I have also much work experience outside the therapy room including academia, teacher education & NGOs.

Truly understanding how to adopt healthy thought patterns and processing techniques has helped me through some horrific emotional and mental experiences and improved my self worth and self belief beyond measure.

Trust and support
It is evident that Mia has extensive experience in CBT interventions. She is not just confident in her own knowledge, but she is also confident in the other person's abilities to overcome their difficulties. This provides an atmosphere of trust and support.

I would highly recommend for anyone needing help with OCD, anxiety and depression
I am so grateful for Mia and all of the help and guidance she gave me. Mia was always extremely patient with me as I articulated my thoughts and feelings and always responded with compassion and wisdom. I would highly recommend working with Mia for anyone needing help with OCD, anxiety and depression.
The homework was extremely helpful and unique to some other therapists. I really appreciated the readings I was given and the support that this gave me throughout the week. Mia helped me to understand my OCD better and to make sense of the emotions and feelings that it would bring up and she never made me feel judged or embarrassed about the things I shared.
