Psychotherapy and Counselling Rochdale

Hello, and thank you for visiting my profile.

Taking the step to reach out for support can sometimes feel like a big decision. You may be going through a difficult time, feeling stuck, or simply wanting a space where you can talk openly and be heard without judgement. I offer a warm, supportive, and confidential environment where we can explore whatever you may be facing at a pace that feels right for you.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor who has been supporting young people (16–18) and adults since 2014. The core of my practice is grounded in person-centred counselling, which values empathy, authenticity, and genuine human connection. I believe that when people feel truly heard and accepted, it can create the conditions for meaningful understanding and change.

As an integrative counsellor, I work flexibly and collaboratively, drawing on approaches such as Person-Centred Therapy, Brief Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. This allows me to tailor our work to your individual needs. At times, I may gently offer suggestions or techniques that can support reflection, awareness, and personal growth.

Together, we may explore the experiences, relationships, or life events that continue to influence how you feel today. My aim is not to tell you what to do, but to work alongside you in developing greater understanding, self-awareness, and new ways of responding to the challenges you face.

Alongside my counselling work, I am also a qualified trauma-informed breathwork facilitator. My understanding of trauma includes a somatic perspective, recognising that our experiences can sometimes be held within the body as well as the mind. Where appropriate, this awareness may gently inform our work together.

In addition to counselling, I also offer trauma-informed breathwork sessions as a standalone practice for those who wish to explore a more body-based approach to self-awareness and emotional processing.

I have experience supporting people with a wide range of presenting issues, including working with adults and young people within the criminal justice system and those affected by substance misuse.

My counselling style is warm, collaborative, and down to earth. I’m particularly interested in helping people reconnect with themselves and develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

I believe in the power of genuine connection and collaborative exploration to support growth and healing, and I look forward to the possibility of working together.

Online therapy

Aswell as face to face counselling, I also offer online counselling

Online counselling is a great alterantive to face to face therapy and can be more conveneient.

What is online counselling?

Online counselling is a way for you to engage in counselling using internet technology such as Zoom or WhatssApp or Google meet. You choose the time, the place, and the pace of your counselling to suit your needs.

Webcam or audio counselling

Zoom, WhatsApp is a way for you to see your counsellor face to face from your computer whilst engaging in therapy. Should you choose Webcam/audio counselling, you will be guided through setting up the required platform (if not already available) to enable you to attend sessions. We can then meet on the agreed platform at a time and date that we have

Benefits

  • Counselling/therapy from your own home at a time that suits you.
  • Secure inscription software offers confidentiality and peace of mind.
  • No chance that you may be seen entering the counsellor’s practice.
  • Therapy at a time, place and pace that suits you.
  • Access to counselling may be more immediate.
