Pete | Counsellor/Psychotherapist
Psychotherapy and Counselling Rochdale
Hello, and welcome to my profile. My name is Pete, I'm a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapist (BACP) and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapist Society (NCPS).
While my training encompasses various therapeutic approaches, the core of my practice is grounded in person-centred counselling, which prioritises empathy, authenticity, and non-judgmental support. I believe in valuing each client as a unique individual and providing them with a safe, confidential space where mutual trust, empathy, and therapeutic change can flourish.
As an integrative counsellor, I adopt a flexible approach, blending different counselling modalities such as Person-Centred Therapy, Brief Therapy, Compassion focused Therapy, Mindfullness and Motivational Interviewing. This versatility allows me to tailor interventions to meet the specific needs of everyone I work with.
My experience spans a wide range of presenting issues, including work with adults and young people in the criminal justice system and clients dealing with substance misuse. This background equips me to understand your unique needs and inform our work together, potentially introducing techniques and suggestions to help you find solutions to your challenges.
Together, we can explore the underlying reasons for your struggles, addressing past situations, relationships, and events that may continue to impact your feelings, thoughts, and behaviours. My counselling style is characterised by warmth and empathy, creating a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can openly explore your challenges. I believe in the power of genuine connection and collaborative exploration to facilitate growth and healing.
I look forward to the possibility of working together to help you navigate your journey towards well-being.
If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message.
