Counselling Stroud

My name is Robyn, I offer counselling, relationship counselling, psychotherapy and psychosexual psychotherapy (the latter as a trainee practititoner with the Contemporary Institute for Clinical Sexology 'CICS'). I work with individuals and couples from my private practice in Stroud, Gloucestershire. I offer you many years of experience and advanced qualifications in counselling, psychotherapy and relationship counselling. I did my initial couples training with Relate and worked in a number of branches as well as in a consultant capacity for them for a number of years.

I work using an Integrative model which means I integrate a number of core approaches (psychodynamic, relational, systemic, humanistic). My approach is directive and intepretative and dynamic. I have many years experience having worked in private practice, Relate brances, counselling centres, prisons, CAMHS (NHS) and originally in youth services with complex mental health needs. I am fully insured and a regulated member of the UKCP and BACP and I am a trainee member of COSRT.

 
I am sex-positive and GSRD allied, I offer a safe space for you to explore any aspect of your sexuality, identity and gender. I work with a number of Trans clients of all ages who describe my practice as safe and inclusive. I also work with gay, lesbian and bisexual couples, thrupples and other poly configurations.

My practice is based in Stroud, my home town within easy reach of Slad, Painswick, Ebley, Brimscombe and surrounding areas. I have a special interest in working with neurodivergence and in particular how that plays out within relationship.  I have undertaken extensive CPD in the area of neurodivergence.

Unfortunately my clinic is on the first floor and access is via stairs only which means I am not able to accommodate you if accessiblity is difficult.
