Katy | Psychotherapist
Psychotherapy Aylesbury
Life can get tough, and when it does we usually resort to familiar patterns of feeling, thinking, relating and meeting the world.
I specialise in relational therapy and what this means is therapy tailored to you and your specific history, experiences and needs. Where we use our relationship to explore and uncover unconscious patterns, projections and ways of being that might not best suit our requirements in the here and now but may have been a choice made in our histories to best survive our experiences.
We all need a little support now and again and finding the right support that is a good fit for you is essential. What I do well as a therapist is establish real and meaningful relationships with everyone I work with so that we can then use that space as a vehicle for change. Always driving at a pace that suits you.
Psychotherapy can help as a way of exploring the self. Psychotherapy will not provide you with solutions by telling you what to do but will allow you the space and freedom to explore thoughts, feelings, behaviours and options with a view to making change.
About me
My name is Katy and I have over ten years experience supporting people through their therapeutic journeys. I hold a diploma in Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy and Counselling (level 7) and am a member of The BACP (As such I adhere to the organisation's ethical codes of practice for both your benefit and mine).
I know first hand how things can impact us and make the ground feel shaky underfoot. Life can be challenging and sometimes unexpected. I also believe it’s never too late to consider making some changes to best support us when we feel uncertain or even if we just want to evolve.
Psychotherapy affords you 50 minutes a week just for you. If you are wanting to make positive changes for your future Psychotherapy can help and support you while you do so.
