Emma | Therapeutic Counsellor

Therapeutic Counselling Poole

Specialising in anxiety, neurodivergence, trauma, loss and depression, I understand that every individual’s journey is unique. I bring warmth, empathy, and a deep commitment to understanding your world, helping you feel seen, heard, and valued. Together, we will explore what matters most to you, at a pace that feels right for you.

As a person-centred counsellor, I work with the belief that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, supporting you to connect with your inner resources and strengths. Whether you are navigating overwhelming emotions, seeking greater self-understanding, or looking for a way forward, I am here to help you discover what feels true and meaningful for you.

My Approach

Grounded in the principles of person-centred counselling, I tailor our sessions to your needs and goals. My relational approach means that our work together is based on mutual trust, respect, and collaboration. You can expect a space that is gentle, respectful, and attuned to who you are as a person.

If you are managing the effects of trauma, facing anxiety or depression, or simply feeling stuck, I am here to help you make sense of your feelings and create the changes you want to see in your life.

Why Work With Me?

Clients often describe me as warm, friendly, and approachable. I am deeply committed to professional development and continuously expanding my knowledge to better support you. My goal is to empower you to move forward with greater confidence, self-acceptance, and clarity.

Getting Started

Taking the first step to reach out can feel daunting, but it’s also a powerful act of self-care. Whether you’re ready to dive in or just want to ask a few questions, I’d love to hear from you. Let’s work together to create a space where you feel comfortable and supported.

If you would like to ask a question or make an appointment, please send me a message.

Specialisations and Expertises

I work in an integrative holistic way based on the principles of person centred therapy.

I provide a safe welcoming space where we can explore your needs for counselling and what is currently going on for you. We will work towards you finding inner strength and resources to help you move forwards by integrating your past experiences and working on the ways in which that shows up in your life today. I can help to facilitate your own healing journey where you can connect to the parts of you you keep hidden or mask, the parts where shame, hurt or regret may reside, creating understanding and the ability to move forwards.

I am warm and friendly and offer a space which is based on understanding and acceptance. My approach stems from my own life experiences and this combination of lived experience and extensive training makes me empathetic, genuine and keeps me constantly informed due to my interest and commitment to continual training.

I work in a relational way which means the relationship between us can help you to live with more self-compassion and acceptance. This safe and inclusive relationship can open the door to your own healing and understanding of self which can ultimately help you move forwards in the direction you want.

Sessions are open ended which gives you the time and space to go at your pace and work on what is important to you each session.
