As an integrative counsellor, I am an accredited Professional by the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and recognized by Addiction Professionals. My therapeutic approach is rooted in compassion, respect, and a commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.
These approaches are essential in my work, helping to alleviate symptoms associated with various mental health conditions.

My vision is to help individuals harness their strengths and achieve improved mental health and well-being. I employ Solution-Focused Therapy, a short-term, goal-focused approach that empowers you to make positive changes in your life. Together, we will identify your unique needs and develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals.

Most common issues I support people with:

  • Communication Problems:

    • Many couples and families struggle with effectively communicating their needs, feelings, and concerns. Miscommunication or lack of communication can lead to misunderstandings, unresolved conflicts, and emotional distance.
  • Conflict Resolution:

    • Disagreements and conflicts are natural in any relationship, but when couples or family members lack healthy conflict resolution skills, these disputes can escalate and cause significant strain. I help my clients develop strategies to manage and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Relationship and Intimacy Issues:

    • Couples often seek counselling for issues related to intimacy, trust, and emotional connection. This can include addressing infidelity, sexual problems, or feelings of disconnect and dissatisfaction in the relationship.
  • Parenting Challenges and Family Dynamics:

    • Families frequently encounter difficulties related to parenting styles, discipline, and managing the needs of children at different developmental stages. Blended families, in particular, may face challenges in establishing new family roles and boundaries.
  • Mental Health and Emotional Well-being:

    • Issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and trauma can impact individual family members and the family unit as a whole. I work to support the mental health of all family members and address how these issues affect family dynamics and relationships.

Helpful advice

At first, I was nervous about going, but once we arrived, he made us feel welcome and clearly explained the process. We went for couples counselling, and it was definitely helpful. What I appreciated most were the activities we were given to do at home. Thank you for your help, Hamid.

I cannot recommend enough for couples therapy

Hamid helped me and my partner during the worst time of our life. He showed understanding, patience and a clear understanding of our needs. He perfectly tailored our treatment to both of our needs, offering reading, exercises and advise that complemented each of our personalities. I really couldn't recommend him enough. He gave me confidence and support through the whole process. I truly felt heard and understood by Hamid. We are both in a much better place thanks to his expertise. Equipped with skills and strategies we will utilise for years to come.
