---
Welcome! I am a humanistic & integrative psychotherapist with over 20 years' experience working with individuals, couples and groups. I am experienced in working with clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures and sexualities. I am committed to providing psychotherapy and counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment.
Therapy can help you to manage ongoing issues in your life, or anxieties as a result of the current pandemic. I work with both individuals and couples on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.
I am experienced in working with clients on issues such as: anxiety, bereavement and loss, childlessness, depression, eating distress, life transitions, panick attacks, relationships, stress, work issues, and many more.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship between therapist and client is as important as the theoretical frame of reference or the techniques employed. A good working alliance can enable the client to share more deeply. While I draw from a wide range of modalities, one of the approaches I am interested in is formative psychology.
If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message.

Specialisations
Clinical supervision
I am an experienced clinical supervisor and enjoy supporting therapists in their work with clients.
It is requirement of trainee and qualified therapists to have clinical supervision. Working as we do on our own it is crucial to have the benefit of sharing our client work to recognise transference and blinds spots. I offer both individual and small group supervision to trainees and qualified therapists and counsellors.
Work counselling
I have considerable experience in work counselling, including redundancy, bullying, discrimination, stress and career change. This is informed by my background in human resource management and training. I am an affiliate counsellor with a number of Employee Assistance Providers.
Couples counselling
I am particularly passionate about couples counselling and have worked with couples at various stages of their relationship.
Childless or Childfree?
Are you feeling ambivalent about having a child? Are you living with a choice that is not your own? Have you left it too late to have a child?
Emotional Eating
We are familiar with anorexia, bulimia and compulsive eating, but disordered eating patterns are very common. I encourage you to explore your relationship with food, how you might label it “good” or “bad”, and how emotions affect your eating patterns. We will look at eating disorder cycles and use creative exercises to challenge those cycles and find a balanced way out of them.
