Counselling Salisbury

Life can be overwhelming but therapy doesn't have to be.

For some people talking therapy feels most beneficial, for others blending with creative approaches using pens and paper, picture cards, fidget toys, genograms, timelines - it's your session and your choice. My approach is tailored to meet your individual needs. Whether that's untangling the past so you can live meaningfully in the present or building on your sense of who you are.

I am compassionate, offering a warm, space space to challenge the difficulties and issues which may be weighing on you. My approach draws on Person Centred Theory, Transactional Analysis and Gestalt (Humanistic Integrative) - in essence valuing you as you are and supporting you as you move towards your future the way you choose it.

Sessions are collaborative and at your pace. You remain in control of what you share and how much. My role is to support and empower you without judging (or just nodding along), if you are seeking a change in your life I can help. I'm a counsellor in Salisbury and online UK wide.
If you would like to know more or book an appointment, please send me a message.

Specialisations and Expertises

We will tailor the number of sessions to your needs and hopes for therapy.

I have experience of both short term, more solution focused work and longer term support for deeper issues.

6-12 sessions: Short term work typically looks to focus on specific behaviours or difficulties. This might be supporting stress, burn out, a revisit of disordered eating behaviours.

12-24 sessions: Mid term work begins to address deeper issues, giving time and space to build the trust in our work. Meaningful changes at a deeper level can be achieved within this time.

Open ended work together gives the opportunity to process deeper issues and challenges such as childhood abuse, traumatic experiences and deep rooted challenges which might be weighing heavily on you.

Most common issues I support people with:

Relationship challenges such as: domestic or narcissistic abuse, self esteem, attachment, where past experiences are causing struggles in you life now. Together we can explore what's happening for you, both what's already in your awareness and issues which are subconscious but affecting your relationships. With awareness of the dynamics you're managing you have greater choice and control. Finding ways to enrich and develop the relationships which are important to you, or gently support you making changes.

Perinatal issues for parents, families and partners. This may be postnatal depression or anxiety or prenatal, or diffificulties exacerbated by the extra pressures of parenthood. I am LGTBQIA+ affirming and supportive recognising that families are all unique. For some people birth trauma causes lasting problems, we can work together to support you moving forward.

Eating disorders, binge eating disorder, sometimes known as compulsive eating disorder, anorexia, bulimia, disordered eating including restriction and emotional eating. I also offer additional support with body image and self esteem. Supporting you to find a balance where food no longer controls how you feel about yourself or the life you're able to lead.

Bereavement, grief and loss. Including miscarriage, baby loss and infertility. For some the loss may be of a career, hopes for the future, a breakup or illness. You don't have to do this alone.
