Counselling Wakefield

Do you feel that you are not the best version of yourself?

Daily life can sometimes be challenging, whether it's due to experiencing trauma or suffering a loss. Such events may leave you feeling isolated and bewildered, struggling to comprehend your emotions.

Counselling can provide support during a variety of challenges.

I will offer a welcoming and non-judgmental space to navigate your emotions, providing an environment where you can feel secure with your feelings.

I am an experienced counsellor, and during our sessions, I will support you as you navigate your feelings and emotions. My experience includes working with individuals who have faced bereavement, anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal thoughts or loss due to suicide, low self-esteem, and trauma.

Understanding the challenge of selecting the right counsellor to suit your personal needs and expectations, I am here to guide you through my methods and offerings to alleviate any confusion and simplify your search.

My methodology is an Integrated approach that encompasses Person-Centred and Solution-Focused techniques. This adaptable style enables me to customize the counselling experience to cater to your unique needs, recognising the individuality and distinctiveness of each person. I hold the conviction that everyone possesses the innate capacity for self-healing.

In a secure and confidential environment, whether it be in-person, via telephone, or online, I provide a non-judgmental space to explore your emotions. Together, we will strive to achieve your objectives within the counselling sessions, which include managing anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and bereavement. Should you have any inquiries, I am readily available to assist.

Each session is 50 minutes in duration.

Online counseling offers an excellent opportunity to delve into your emotions. It provides a secure environment and the comfort of your own home, allowing you to express your feelings openly. Specialisations

I possess experience in working with individuals facing Anxiety, Depression, and Grief.
As part of my continuous professional development, I have volunteered at a Leeds-based charity, Charlie's Angel. There, I supported individuals coping with the loss of a child, regardless of the circumstances. Additionally, I have offered my time to Changing Lives, an affiliate of Mind, where I assisted individuals dealing with Anxiety, Depression, Bereavement, and Addictions.
I do not impose a set number of sessions; we will determine this collaboratively. I trust that you will know when you are ready to conclude our sessions and feel that you have evolved into the person you aspire to be.

Most common issues I support people with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Loss
  • Bereavement
  • Suicide - if you feel suicidal, have suicidal thoughts or been affected by suicide
