I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Supervisor, working with clients in Central London. I have over ten years of experience as a psychotherapist (since 2010) and over twenty years of experience working in mental health care settings. I am also a Reflective Practice Facilitator, and Critical Incidence Debrief Facilitator.
I work with people experiencing depression, or feeling sad, anxiety (incl. generalised anxiety disorder), panic, phobias, anger management difficulties, and work related stress. Often people attend as a result of traumas or family or relationship problems.
My Approach: I use a solution (Outcome) focussed model. This means that whilst we address your key concerns and reasons for attending psychotherapy, we also make connections between what you say and its relationship to your desired outcomes (there tends to be a natural connection between the two).
I recognise that you are the key agent of change in your process; even if you do not have this self-belief, I hold this belief for you until you do. We work at your pace.
The key aspects of how I work are: To support you to promote balance and thus health in your day to day life. This includes looking at your behaviour and thinking patterns and how these can be modified to improve your experiences.
The aim is to help you work through struggles and difficulties by addressing the underlying causes and help you to make sense of your thoughts, feelings, behaviours and ways of relating to both yourself and others.
Accessible premises are available at London Liverpool Street (location is directly opposite the station).
Telephone and online sessions (via video - using Zoom, Skype, whatsapp etc) are available.
