My name is Pete, I'm a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapist (BACP) and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapist Society (NCPS).

We all go through times in our lives where we struggle to cope and things just feel overwhelming. We can’t always talk to family and friends so speaking out and opening up to a counsellor can help you feel listened to. Counselling gives you a safe space, allowing you to talk freely without fear of judgment. A counsellor can help you see things clearer and help you to explore your thoughts and feelings.

I hold the strong belief that people are perfectly imperfect. They are beautiful and spectacular but can also become stuck, unhappy and unable to live a fulfilling life. That's where I come in.

I work with adults and young people, aged 16 and above, with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, adult and childhood trauma, stress, burnout, loss, identity, low self-esteem, and more. I also had a previous career in international management roles in large corporations and my understanding of demands and expectations in terms of work/life balance is extensive. I am multilingual (English, French & Portuguese) and this multicultural background has enriched my life and my therapeutic practice

I’m an experienced Mental Health Practitioner and EMDR Therapist for NHS Talking Therapies, and also offer private sessions. I have worked in Health and Social Care for over 30 years providing a wide range of social, emotional and psychological interventions.
EMDR is a specialised therapy that can effectively enable recovery from emotional problems, anxiety, depression and trauma. I also use the Flash Technique, which is a gentle approach that can rapidly reduce distress without having to talk through painful experiences
