My name is Joel, I am a Therapeutic Counsellor offering 'Walk & Talk' therapy in the beautiful surroundings of Sevenoaks, Tonbridge & Tunbridge Wells. An active approach to developing and maintaining physical and mental well-being.

As a qualified nurse, counsellor and psychotherapist, my approach is friendly and client-centred. I use a holistic approach, helping clients to use their own resources and build on their strengths, working through issues, solving problems, achieving goals, and increasing self-awareness.

I provide general, specialist and couples counselling.
I offer ongoing therapy which can be short term or long term and is tailored to your needs. I offer single session therapy which is useful if you have a specific issue that can be explored in a focused way in one session.

Welcome to our counselling practice, we are a close-knit team of highly experienced, fully qualified compassionate counsellors offering counselling for adults, couples/relationships, and counselling supervision. We work with and offer support for a diverse range of emotional challenges, from depression, anxiety and ADHD to relationship issues and trauma, among others. 

With a background in nursing, I am able to work with issues relating to mental health and well-being, as well as general personal and relationship issues. I can offer different therapy approaches to suit individual needs.

Do you ever feel overwhelmed by life? Sometimes the road gets rough and we struggle to hold it all together and the things we always used to find so easy suddenly feel impossible. Maybe you have never really spoken to anyone about the way you feel or you’re not sure if your problems are ‘important enough’ to seek counselling.

Most people in therapy are in fact struggling with everyday issues such as stress, anxiety and depression; you are not the only one. I believe your issues are important and so are your feelings.

After working for many years in a corporate industry, I chose to find a new path in counselling. I understand how difficult and stressful modern life can feel and the challenges in trying to find some space for self-care.

I have seen the positive impact that counselling and talking therapy can have. The simple but powerful experience of being heard and allowing time to process your thoughts, feelings and behaviours can give people clarity and allow room for positive change.

I am a NHS trained integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, mindfulness and compassion teacher and clinical supervisor. I have been training and working in the mental health profession since 2009 and have 20 years experience working in the public, private and charity sectors. I am a registered member of BACP, and of BAMBA and I am on the Professional Standards Authority Professional Accredited Register.

I am a BACP registered counsellor with experience working in the NHS, for a national charity, with local businesses and in Private Practice. I offer both short and long term work face to face, online and by phone.
